Who we are and what we do
Sahaja Yoga is run by a registered not-for-profit organization that provides free meditation programs across the country. In fact, we’ve been providing meditation programs to communities in more than 75 countries worldwide for over 40 years, people of all ages, ethnicities and cultures.
Community Sahaja Yoga facilities in the U.S. are run by volunteer instructors who donate their time and money to further the organization’s goal. Our goal? To offer spirituality to Americans, promote mental and physical health and wellness, improving the quality of life for people in the communities where we live and work. We encourage adults to bring the kids, the grandkids — we welcome all ages.
We partner with organizations for short-term programs, one-time engagements or long-term partnerships. We have special long-term relationships with organizations such as with UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) to foster a culture of peace through education, science, culture, communication and Sahaja Yoga. And we’ve conducted Sahaja Yoga seminars in conjunction with the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Our Programs
Our programs are designed to be a practical education resource about spirituality and for self-improvement through meditation. Audiences are guided and educated by our volunteer instructors, who are highly experienced Sahaja Yoga practitioners. No advance preparation is required and individual guidance is always available.
We offer Introductory Programs, ongoing Weekly Meditation Programs and courses at our partner facilities, as well as in our own facilities. While the actual practice of meditation forms the core of our programs, sessions can also include discussions and Q & A sessions. Sessions typically last one hour; introductory programs are typically slightly longer.

Why organizations partner with us
Through spiritual energy-based meditation, we provide audiences with a unique, practical self-improvement strategy and a path for pursing their spiritual journey that nourishes every aspect of physical and emotional health and well-being and strengthens total mind-body resiliency.
We’ve partnered with several community and civic organizations across the U.S. to organize Sahaja Yoga programs for a wide variety of audiences; including, for example: libraries, community centers, senior centers, and organizations dedicated to health, fitness and wellness.
Community response to our programs has been overwhelmingly positive, which has inspired us to expand our partnership program. We are always gratified when people who attend our sessions tell us how the practice of meditation through Sahaja Yoga has improved their lives. Our programs and classes are always free.
